The Washington Commanders are scheduled to report to training camp on July 22.

That's less than three weeks, and star wide receiver Terry McLaurin still has yet to receive a contract extension from Washington.

Recent reports suggest the negotiations aren't necessarily in a good place.

However, McLaurin doesn't appear concerned.

A vacationing McLaurin shared an image of himself on Instagram on Wednesday, and he seemed happy.

We've maintained all along that the two sides will agree to a deal before the season, and there's a good chance it gets done before camp begins.

The two sides may be in a cooling-off period before negotiations ramp back up before camp begins.

As the old saying goes, deadlines spur action.

McLaurin has one year remaining on the three-year $70 million extension he signed in the summer of 2022.

He's due to count $25.5 million against Washington's salary cap in 2025, but that number could change if an agreement is reached.

The Commanders are coming off their best season in 33 years, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

McLaurin had his best NFL season, catching a career-high 13 touchdown passes and adding three more in the playoffs.

Just last week, McLaurin was back in Northern Virginia at the Collectors Showcase of America event, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

If not, will he hold out? It should be an interesting few weeks.
