Missouri alum Sophie Cunningham scores season-high as Fever win WNBA Commissioner's Cup

Sophie Cunningham saved her best scoring performance with the Fever for the right night.The former Missouri womens basketball star scored a season-high 13 points and added seven rebounds, and the Indiana Fever beat the Minnesota Lynx 74-59 to win the WNBA Commissioner's Cup on Tuesday night in Minneapolis.The Commissioner's Cup is an in-season tournament between the Western and Eastern Conferences, with teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool.

The Mizzou alum was highly efficient from the floor, going 3-of-5 (60%) from 3-point range and 4-of-6 shooting from the field.
Both marks either tied or broke her previous season-high.

She is shooting 94.1% from the stripe this season.The Fever were again playing without Caitlin Clark, who is sidelined with a groin injury.Cunningham was second on the Fever for points against the Lynx, and Natasha Howard led Indiana with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Aliyah Boston also posted a double-double for the Fever with 12 points and 11 rebounds.Through 11 games with Indiana her first season with the Fever after being traded by the Phoenix Mercury Cunningham is averaging 5.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest.Cunningham recently was announced as a member of Missouri athletics 2025 Hall of Fame Class.
The Rock Bridge High grad is the Mizzou womens basketball teams all-time leading scorer with 2,187 points.
