The NBA's official free agency period opened on Monday afternoon with the Los Angeles Lakerslosing 3-and-D forward Dorian Finney-Smith to the Houston Rockets.

They had acquired Finney-Smith in a late December trade, and he made a very positive impact on them that went beyond his stats.Minutes later, they reportedly agreed to a deal with Jake LaRavia, a forward who finished the 2024-25 season with the Sacramento Kings.
