With the 82nd pick of the 2025 draft, the Montreal Canadiens selected Arseni Radkov, a 17-year-old Belarusian goaltender who spent the last season in the MHL with Tyumenski Legion.

In 19 games, he kept a 4-8-3 record along with a 3.18 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.

The prospect is set to come over to North America this season as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada drafted him in the first round of the CHL European draft.

The QMJHL outfit used the 33rd overall selection to select the netminder.

His stay in the QMJHL will be a short one, however, since he is committed to the University of Massachusetts for the 2026-25 season.

Blainville-Boisbriand finished eighth in the QMJHL standings last season with 77 points, 31 points behind the regular season champions, the Moncton Wildcats.

They qualified for the playoffs but lost in the first round to the Sherbrooke Phoenix. It will be interesting to see if 19th overall pick at the latest NHL draft, Justin Carbonneau, decides to come back and play one more season or if he opts for the NCAA; he was reportedly considering Boston College.

Of course, there is a slight possibility that he could start the season with the St.

Louis Blues, but that remains the less likely course.

Even if he doesnt, however, the Armada has made a few new additions which should make the team very competitive.

Bill Zonnon, Spencer Gill, Mael Lavigne, and Vincent Collard.

Radkovs arrival in North America is great news for the Canadiens, wholl be able to keep a closer eye on the prospects development.
