Spurs' Victor Wembanyama has high praise for Caitlin Clark

Victor Wembanyama is apparently a big fan of his fellow Rookie of the Year.

In a video feature that was released on Friday, the San Antonio Spurs star Wembanyama was asked to name a player in the WNBA who inspires him.

Wembanyama landed on Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark.

When she was in college, [she was] the only player that I was really in awe of the game [of], said Wembanyama of Clark.

Mens and womens college basketball [combined], shes probably the most impressive Ive seen.

Both players were No.

1 overall picks in 2023, and both players went on to win Rookie of the Year on the strength of mind-bending debut seasons (21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game for Wemby and 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists a game for Clark).

As such, it is fitting that Wembanyama has a lot of respect and appreciation for what Clark has been doing.
