Cincinnati Reds Starting Pitcher Returns to Action in Rehab Start

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Carson Spiers has been on the injured list since April 20 with right shoulder impingement.
On Thursday, Spiers made his first rehab appearance with the ACL Reds.
The right-hander did not give up a run on two hits in 2 1/3 innings.
He did not walk a batter and struck out four.
The 27-year-old is 0-2 with a 6.08 ERA in three games for the Reds this season.
Buck Farmer, who the Reds recently signed to a minor league deal, also appeared for the ACL Reds and pitched 2/3 of an inning and did not allow a hit.
