ECHL: Jacob Paquette Re-Signs With Trois-Rivières Lions

The Trois-Rivieres Lions have announced that theyve re-signed defenseman Jacob Paquette for the 2025-26 season.
In his first full season with the Lions, Paquette played in 69 games, putting up four goals and 17 assists for 21 points.
He would add a goal and four assists in 21 games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Paquette played in 19 games during the 2023-24 season, during which he recorded one assist.
He would have a goal and an assist in six games during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
The Ottawa, Ontario native was a big part of the Lions blueline and was a guy who was eating up over 20 minutes of ice time a game.
Paquette is the second defenseman and seventh player signed to a contract for the 2025-26 season.

The 26-year-old defenseman would be drafted in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Nashville Predators .
During his five seasons in the OHL, he would spend time with the Kingston Frontenacs, Niagara Ice Dogs, and Peterborough Petes.
He would put up 13 goals and 71 assists for 84 points in 296 games.
He would add two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 47 OHL playoff games.
Once his time in the OHL was over, he played three seasons at Queens University, where he put up four goals and 18 assists for 22 points in 61 games.
He would add an assist in three career USports playoff games.
