Thompson QB ‘excited’ about earning offer from DeBoer, feels he fits Grubb’s offense

Kalen DeBoer and Alabama football have extended an offer to Thompson High Schools junior quarterback, Trent Seaborn.
Seaborn is a 2027 four-star quarterback prospect.
He holds previous offers from Florida State, Oregon, Georgia and others.
His Alabama offer serves as another reason for him to be grateful for the position he is in.
Every single offer I have received from each program is extremely important, and I am honored and humbled to receive each one, including Alabama, Seaborn told Touchdown Alabama.
I was so shocked when coach Saban offered me before my freshman year, and it feels great to have coach (Kalen) DeBoer, coach (Ryan) Grubb and coach (Nick) Sheridan feel the same way about me.
Seaborn feels his game could fit a Grubb-led offense.
Coach Grubb used Michael Penix a lot in comparison to how I play in the game with accuracy, decision making, understanding of defenses, ability to get the ball out quickly, layer throws and other aspects of the game, said Seaborn.
I think they feel like I will be well suited to run the offense they operate and do it at a high level.
Alabamas quarterback coach Nick Sheridan was in contact with Seaborn before he earned an offer from the Crimson Tide.
Sheridan, DeBoer and Grubb have kept a close eye on the 2027 quarterback.
It was pretty cool how it all worked out, Seaborn said.
Coach Sheridan had been in communication with me that week and told me that he wanted to get me on the phone with coach DeBoer and coach Grubb.
They called and extended the offer to me.
Coach DeBoer gave me the great news.
I was so excited because they were saying how I had worked so hard for this offer, and they have been very impressed with me.
So, overall it was really a special moment.
Seaborn has accomplished a lot during his high school football career, and he still has two more years of high school football left.
He has led the Warriors to two state championships since stepping up as an eighth grader and leading the Warriors offense.
In a world where re-classification is popular, Seaborn does not plan to re-classify.
I see a lot left to accomplish with my teammates, Seaborn said.
We have an opportunity to win two more state championships, and I am absolutely focused on accomplishing that with my team.
I am not reclassifying.
