Buffalo Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen is apparently a fan of New England Patriots young signal-caller Drake Maye.

Having just played one season so far in his NFL career, Maye has seemingly already captured the attention of one of the best quarterbacks of this generation.

The Bills and the Patriots played each other twice in the 2024 NFL campaign, and that very much likely helped Allen gauge Maye better.

The former North Carolina Tar Heels QB didnt exactly have the rookie numbers that jump off the page, but Allen sees great potential in Maye.

In his rookie season, Maye passed for 2,276 yards with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on a 66.6 percent completion rate in 13 games (12 starts).

But thats also part of Mayes learning curve in the pros.

Its a growing pain in the league that Allen can relate to.

During his first year in the NFL, the 2018 season, Allen only threw for 2,074 passing yards and 10 touchdowns against 12 interceptions in a 52.8 percent completion rate through 12 appearances (11 starts).

Buffalo Bills Allen loves what he sees in Maye Although the Bills and the Patriots are AFC East division rivals, thats not reason enough for the reigning AP NFL Most Valuable Player to give Maye his flowers.

I think Drake is super talented, hes one of my favorite young quarterbacks in the league, Allen said of Maye during a recent interview with Liam McKeone of Sports Illustrated .

Ive spent some time around him and hes got his head on his shoulders the right way.

He just does things the right way.

I think that he exemplifies football.

Hell take it and run, hell throw it and to have someone like Stefon [Diggs] is going to help him out a lot.

Allen and Maye are expected to start for their respective teams when the Bills and the Pats meet in Week 5 and in Week 15 of the 2025 campaign.
