The Sixers didn't have any picks, so they had to bring in a rookie the undrafted way.
The Sixers brought in Ricky Council IV on a two-way deal after a productive collegiate career with Wichita State and Arkansas.
Council averaged 5.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in the 2023-24 season playing in 32 games as a rookie which earned him a standard deal with Philadelphia.
He made an impact in a handful of games including coming off the bench and helping the Sixers rally to beat the San Antonio Spurs in overtime as well a win over the Washington Wizards on the road.Council was expected to be a consistent player in coach Nick Nurse's rotation in his second season, but he was unable to break through which puts a lot of pressure on him to perform in the 2025-26 season.
