The Los Angeles Lakers need a legitimate starting center.

They might find one from the Milwaukee Bucks.

No, not Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Instead, the Lakers are seeking a signature from Brook Lopez, the 37-year old big fella.

NBA insider Jake Fischer reports that the Lakers are expected to go after Lopez.

The 7-foot-1 Lopez played nine seasons for the Nets and seven seasons for the Bucks.

Sandwiched in between was one failed season with the Lakers.

He's coming off a 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game campaign while shooting 37.3% from 3.

His decline could come sooner rather than later, but it hasn't happened yet.

The Lakers aren't in need of a future star with this center addition.

They just need a guy to plug-and-play.

Lopez fits that need perfectly.
