Mike Evans Maintaining 'High Level' of Play Despite Advancing Age originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have one of the best wideouts of this generation in Mike Evans, and he has kept a consistent level of play despite not getting any younger. In a recent article by PFF's Ryan Smith, he lists 10 NFL veterans who are continuing to play at a high level, and one of the players he mentions is the Bucs' legendary wide receiver."Evans made history last season, tying Jerry Rice for the most consecutive seasons topping 1,000 receiving yards despite missing time with a hamstring injury," Smith wrote.

"He was elite in Tampa Bays wild-card playoff loss to the Commanders, dominating longtime rival Marshon Lattimore.

He caught all six targets thrown his way in the matchup for 84 yards and a touchdown while also drawing a defensive pass interference penalty."Despite missing three games, Evans was still able to get to 1,000 yards on the season and maintain his streak, tying an all-time great in Jerry Rice for the most consecutive seasons hitting the mark. The 31-year-old receiver finished the season with 1,004 yards, and was able to get 11 touchdowns, which was tied for fourth-most in the NFL this past season.

He will be hoping he can stay healthy and help the team improve in 2025.
