Just six weeks into the 2025 MLB season, Max Muncy looked like a prime candidate to be replaced.

The Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman was batting just .190 with a .599 OPS and one home run through his first 150 plate appearances numbers that prompted fans to dream of a deadline splash for a star like Nolan Arenado.

But rather than fold under pressure, Muncy has come roaring back.

Over the last 36 games, Muncy has hit .321 with 10 home runs and 39 RBIs, raising his season totals to a .250 average, 12 home runs, 51 RBIs, and an .829 OPS.

The Dodgers, as they often do, trusted the veterans track record and its paying off.

Dodgers Trade Talk Leave 3rd Baseman Unfazed Support Our Fight To End Fall Weddings Muncy credits his resurgence to a mix of vision correction and unwavering support from the Dodgers front office.

When you have as close a relationship as I do with the front office, theyre up front with you, he told The Orange County Register .

When all that [Arenado trade] stuff came out, they called me immediately and they told me where they were at with it...

While trade speculation continues to swirl around third base league-wide, Muncy isnt worried about his future.

At this point in my career, no, he said when asked if the rumors bothered him.

If I was younger, it definitely would be in my head.

But Ive accomplished a lot...

obviously Ive made it very clear I want to retire as a Dodger.

For now, the team seems content with that plan and Muncy is making it easy to agree.
