'He’s Got A Chance to Be Really Good' – Ravens Harbaugh Predicts Second-Year Breakout

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Devontez Walker is something of a forgotten man on the teams depth chart, but that could change in the coming months.
A fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft , the UNC product joined one of the most talented teams in the league and battled for a depth role in the offense.
While he remained on the team throughout the season, he didnt make much of an impact on the field.
Appearing in nine games, Walker caught just one of his three targets for 21 yards and a touchdown.
Now entering Year 2, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh says hes noticed a difference in Devontez Walker and believes the second-year pro could break out in the upcoming season.
Every day, all he does is show up and go 100 miles an hour, Harbaugh said.
Hes got a chance to be really good.
John Harbaugh: Devontez Walker Can Be Really Good For what its worth, Devontez Walker himself said that he feels more comfortable heading into Year 2.
Last year, early on, I felt like I wasnt able to play as fast, Walker said.
You know, Im wondering what to do.
Im thinking so much, trying to do everything right, perfect everything.
I wasnt able to go out there and run full speed.
This year, Im able to get lined up and go out there and play as fast as possible.
Devontez Walker may be improving in practice, but he faces an uphill battle to see the field.
Pro Bowler Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are locked into their respective roles, while veteran free agent DeAndre Hopkins will likely be the third receiver in the passing attack.
With these three combined with tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, Walker probably wont have the opportunity to make plays.
