FOX NASCAR star gives insight into rare Michael Jordan interview

FOX NASCAR motor sports reporter Jamie Little has named interviewing the legendary Michael Jordan as one of her broadcasting career highlights.

Little, a trailblazing broadcaster , has a host of firsts on her resume, with the FOX reporter having been the first women to cover an Indianapolis 500 flag-to-flag, the first woman to be the play-by-play announcer for a national racing series, and the first woman to do play-by-play for NASCAR's Craftsman Truck Series.

Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT While she did receive criticism from some NASCAR fans for her call earlier this season at Rockingham Speedway during the Black's Tire 200 , Little has been a mainstay when it comes to covering the sport.

For over a decade, she covered racing for ESPN and ABC before moving to FOX in 2015.

That was a big moment for me, and it becomes a bigger moment, I think, personally, as I get older.

"When I was in the moment, it was like, O.K., cool .

But thats not ever what I set out to be: The first to do this or the first to do that.

"There are things that you do because youre in the position and youve earned your right to do it, and then afterwards you look back and its like , I don't know how I was so ballsy, but we did it, and we're moving forward." ...At Darlington, we sat there and I asked him three or four questions, like two buddies talking racing.

"This man is just incredible, and hes such a race fan.

So that was a pretty cool moment, too..
