Al Ain vs Juventus live updates: Club World Cup 2025 predictions, team news, latest score

live Updated 2m ago Al Ain vs Juventus Club World Cup latest It is day five at the 2025 Club World Cup and we have the last match of the first round of group games to enjoy as Al Ain face Juventus.
Italian side Juventus qualified for this tournament as the eighth-best ranked team under UEFA's jurisdiction in Europe (all rankings cover a four-year period from 2021 to 2024).
While a Champions League win has eluded them in recent season despite some deep runs in the tournament, they will fancy a shot at success on the world stage here.
Meanwhile, Emirati club Al Ain earned their spot through a Champions League victory of their own in Asia's format of the competition in 2024.
This is the second game in Group G, so we will know how the table for that group shapes up by the end of the night.
Kick-off: 9pm ET, 2am UK; Venue: Audi Field, Washington, D.C.
How to watch: DAZN; highlights will be available on The Athletic You can sign up to DAZN to watch every FIFA Club World Cup game for free.
What is the format of the tournament? The 32 teams have been split into eight groups of four, with every team playing the other three sides in their group once.
Three points will be awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss.
The top two teams in each group (by total number of points) will advance to the knockout stage, and the bottom two will be eliminated.
The knockout stage consists of a round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
All these matches are one-off straight knockout ties, with the winner advancing and the loser being eliminated.
If teams are level after normal time in any of these knockout matches, then an additional 30 minutes of extra time will be played, split over two halves.
If there is still no winner, a penalty shootout will determine who advances.
The 32-team, eight-groups-of-four system is the same that was used at the World Cup from 1998 to 2022.
However, unlike at the World Cup, there will be no third-place play-off for the losing semi-finalists this summer.

Previously an annual tournament featuring seven clubs, we now have a 32-team competition played once every four years.
The 2025 edition has six continents and 20 countries represented across the chosen clubs, who will be hosted by 11 venues across the United States.
As yet, there is no confirmed host nation for the following Club World Cup in 2029.
So how did the 32 teams earn their place here and what do we have in store as the tournament progresses? Well address all that and more, next...
