The 2024-25 OKC Metro High School Sports Awards show winners

The 2024-25 OKC Metro High School Sports Awards, Presented by Landmark Fine Homes, was on Tuesday night at the Young Family Athletic Center.More than 300 athletes from the area were honored, including Players of the Year in 21 sports and the area's overall winners for boys athlete of the year, girls athlete of the year, boys coach of the year, girls coach of the year, boys team of the year, girls team of the year, courage award and USA TODAY Studio IX Trailblazer Award.

1-ranked MLB Draft prospect, according to MLB.com, and posted a .611 batting average with 19 home runs this year.Girls Athlete of the Year, Presented by Integris Health - Keeley Parks, Norman High SchoolKeeley Parks is the All-City Athlete of the Year after being named The Oklahomans Super 5 Girls Basketball Player of the Year the last two seasons.
A five-star prospect and Kansas signee, Parks averaged 26.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.6 steals per game this past season and led Norman to the Class 6A semifinals.Boys Team of the Year, Presented by Tinker Federal Credit Union - Choctaw High School footballChoctaw football won its second title and first since 1960.
The Yellowjackets beat defending champion Muskogee 26-25 in the Class 6A-II title game, overcoming an 18-point deficit and finishing the season with an 11-2 record.Girls Team of the Year, Presented by Tinker Federal Credit Union - Dale High School softballDale claimed state championships in both fastpitch and slowpitch this season after going a combined 76-9 in both sports while facing strong competition.
The Pirates added to their rich history with both titles coming as their 13th and 14th state softball championships overall.Courage Award, Presented by Landmark Fine Homes - Chloe Daniels, Del City High SchoolDaniels was born with just one fully functional arm, but that hasnt stopped her from becoming one of the best wrestlers in the state.
Daniels won a Class 6A regional title at 170 pounds this year before placing fourth at the state tournament.
Shes been an inspiration in the Oklahoma high school wrestling world and still has one more season to go at Del City.USA TODAY Studio IX Trailblazer - Amelia SpearsFor more than four decades, Spears oversaw the girls basketball program at Millwood High School.
She won nearly 800 games and three state championships.
She even led the Falcons to the state semifinals in 2019 after pausing retirement for one brief season.
But more importantly, she developed young female athletes.
She made them believe in themselves.
A tough but fair coach with a soft interior, Spears only wanted to help kids.
And that she did for 40-plus years.Boys Coach of the Year - Dorrian Williams, Millwood High SchoolWilliams led Millwood to a 22-5 season as the Falcons won the Class 3A state title.
Millwood faced a tough Cascia Hall team in the finals and won 60-57 for its 18th state championship.
The Falcons faced great competition throughout the season and proved they were among the state's best, beating teams such as 5A champion Booker T.
Washington and 4A runner-up Crossings Christian.Girls Coach of the Year - Logan Martin, Putnam City North High SchoolMartin helped Putnam North girls basketball make program history this year as the Panthers won their first state title.
They finished 29-1 and won by an average of 19.7 points per game at the Class 6A state tournament.Girls Volleyball, Presented by Landmark Fine Homes - Livia Ward, Mount St Mary Catholic High SchoolA Washington State signee, Ward helped Mount St.
Mary win the Class 5A title as the Rockets finished 39-1 and undefeated against Oklahoma opponents.
The senior setter had 1,233 assists and was named the Gatorade Oklahoma Volleyball Player of the Year.Boys Basketball, Presented by Young Family Athletic Center - Clyde Davis Jr., Deer Creek High SchoolDavis did the unthinkable in his final season at Deer Creek.
The senior guided the Antlers to the program's first state championship since 1974 and its first in Class 6A.
Davis erupted in the postseason, averaging 19.6 points and seven rebounds while earning state tournament MVP honors.Girls Basketball, Presented by Young Family Athletic Center - Keeley Parks, Norman High SchoolA Kansas signee and five-star recruit, Parks led Norman to the Class 6A state semifinals and was The Oklahomans Super 5 Player of the Year for the second straight season.
She averaged 25.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 3.9 assists per game.Baseball, Presented by Ortho Central - Ethan Holliday, Stillwater High SchoolHolliday is the All-City Baseball Player of the Year for the second straight season after leading Stillwater to the Class 6A quarterfinals.
Holliday was one of the top shortstops in the state and finished with a .611 batting average, 19 home runs and 64 RBIs.Softball, Presented by Ortho Central - Libby Jaques, Moore High SchoolAn Oklahoma State signee, Jaques led Moore to the Class 6A semifinals.
She had a strong year at the plate, finishing with a .482 batting average, 13 home runs and 37 RBIs.Football (Offense) - Barrett Travis, Heritage Hall High SchoolA force on both sides of the ball at running back and linebacker, Travis broke Heritage Hall's single-season record with 2,166 rushing yards.
He helped Heritage Hall reach the semifinals and was named the District 3A-1 MVP.
He will continue his career at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas.Football (Defense) - Caden Davis, Carl Albert High SchoolDavis became Carl Alberts all-time leader in tackles after totaling 154 103 solo and 29 for loss nine sacks, three forced fumbles and three blocked field goals.
He also spent time at running back, rushing for 388 yards and 13 touchdowns.Boys Wrestling - Ladarion Lockett, Stillwater High SchoolAn Oklahoma State signee and one of the top recruits in the nation, Lockett became a four-time Class 6A state champion and went undefeated while leading Stillwater to titles at dual state and the state tournament.Girls Wrestling - Lynn Horn, Blanchard High SchoolA year after placing second at the Class 6A state tournament, Horn claimed the title at 130 pounds to cap a stellar senior season.
Horn was nearly perfect on the year as she finished with a 29-1 record.Boys Swimming & Diving - JD Thumann, Norman High SchoolThumann, a Cal commit, claimed state titles in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke, posting times of 20.00 and 45.05 seconds respectively.Girls Swimming & Diving - Laney Jones, Edmond North High SchoolJones won a state title in her two individual races at the Class 6A state meet as she finished the 100 freestyle in 51.62 seconds and the 50 freestyle in 23.25 seconds.Boys Golf - Ben Lathrop, Heritage Hall High SchoolLathrop was one of the top golfers in the state, regardless of classification.
He won the Class 4A state title and had a 68.8 scoring average, which was second in Oklahoma.Girls Golf - Harlow Gregory, Norman North High SchoolGregory made a statement in her first high school season, winning the Class 6A state title.
She was also the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference champion and finished the year with a state-best 71.1 scoring average.Boys Soccer - Miguel Madrigal, Norman North High SchoolMadrigal played a key role for the Timberwolves during his senior season.
He helped Norman North claim its eighth state title and did it at Rogers State in Claremore, where hes signed to continue his career.Girls Soccer - Rylee McLanahan, Edmond North High SchoolMcLanahan had a record-breaking junior season.
She broke the Class 6A single-season record for goals and finished with 41.
McLanahan led Edmond North to the quarterfinals and is committed to Florida.Boys Tennis - TJ Shanahan, Bishop McGuinness Catholic High SchoolShanahan claimed his second consecutive Class 5A No.
1 singles state title after finishing the season 27-0.
He defeated Heritage Hall senior Owen Fellrath 7-6 (5), 6-0 in the finals.Girls Tennis - Jasmine Crain, Heritage Hall High SchoolCrain is the Girls Tennis player of the year after capping off a dominant senior season with a Class 5A No.
1 singles state championship where she defeated Cascia Hall's Aspen Irwin 6-1, 6-3 in the finals.Boys Track & Field - Behr Boyd, Norman High SchoolBoyd won a state title at the Class 6A state meet in 21.66 seconds and also thrived in the 100, completing the race in 10.96 seconds for fourth place.Girls Track & Field - Brianna Jones, Frederick A Douglass High SchoolJones defended her Class 4A title and broke her own state record from a year ago in the 200, winning with a final time of 25:09 seconds.
She also won the 100 in 12.19 seconds while winning the 400 in 55.27 seconds.Boys Cross Country - Noah Thayer, Mustang High SchoolThayer won his first Class 6A state title in the fall and made state history in the process.
Thayer finished the five-kilometer race in 15:06.9 as he broke the state meet record.Girls Cross Country - Natalie Duggan, Edmond Santa Fe High SchoolAn Ole Miss signee, Duggan placed second at the Class 6A state meet for the second straight season.
