Auburn's tag team of Jackson Arnold and Cam Coleman could be lethal in 2025

Those are just a few of the few great quarterback and wide receiver duos to come through Auburn since the 1990s.

Will the next great Tiger tag team emerge in 2025? Brad Crawford of 247Sports recently compiled a list of the top quarterback/wide receiver duos that are poised for stellar seasons in 2025, and Auburn's 1-2 punch of Jackson Arnold and Cam Coleman made the cut.

Arnold placed the duo at No.

2 in his rankings citing uncertainty due to this being the first year that they are paired.

However, the potential that Coleman showed last season, as well as the hype surrounding the "fresh start" that Arnold will receive at Auburn, could put Auburn back on the map this season writes Crawford.

One of the only wild-card picks in the top 10, Hugh Freeze must get elite-level play out of Oklahoma transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold this season if Auburn expects to be one of the nation's most-improved teams.

That means plenty of targets and opportunities for returning wideout Cam Coleman, who had no issues destroying opposing SEC secondaries last fall as a five-star true freshman.

He should face more single coverage in 2025 after the Tigers signed top portal pass-catchers Eric Singleton Jr.

and Horatio Fields to expand the room on The Plains.Coleman logged 37 catches for 597 yards and eight scores as a freshman in 2024, with a bulk of that production coming over the final three games, where he logged two 100-yard games.

Arnold passed for 1,421 yards and 12 touchdowns at Oklahoma in a season where he experienced inconsistent play time.

This season, he has a great receiving unit in Coleman, Eric Singleton, Malcolm Simmons, and Horatio Fields to pass to, which could launch him into a comeback campaign and lead Auburn into College Football Playoff contention.
