Former Bruins forward signs overseas after breakout season

Former Bruins forward Karson Kuhlman is joining Rogle BK after scoring 21 goals in Finland, continuing his pro hockey career overseas at age 29.

After strong Liiga run, Kuhlman finds new home in SHL Karson Kuhlman has signed a one-year deal with Rogle BK.

The Swedish club announced the move following Kuhlmans productive season with Lukko, where he quietly pieced together one of his best offensive years as a pro.

In 60 games, the 29-year-old registered 21 goals and 46 points.

He also posted a plus-7 rating, not flashy, but effective.

The performance gave him new life on the European market, and Rogle BK didnt wait long to bring him in.

Boston beginnings and playoff experience Kuhlman first joined the Boston Bruins in 2018 after signing a two-year entry-level contract.

He carved out a role in Boston over parts of four seasons, mostly playing on the third and fourth lines.

In 75 regular-season games, he scored 7 goals and chipped in 15 points.

He also suited up for 16 playoff games, adding four points.

Coaches liked his work ethic, and while he wasnt a household name, he showed up when it counted.

Stints with Seattle, Winnipeg before heading to Europe Midway through the 202122 season, the Seattle Kraken claimed Kuhlman off waivers.

Hed later land in Winnipeg, where he played his final NHL games in 202223.

That year, he recorded 2 goals and 4 points in 33 appearances for the Jets.

All told, Kuhlmans NHL career spanned 147 games.

His totals: 12 goals, 30 points, and a minus-4 rating.

After his final stint in Winnipeg, the door to Europe opened and he took it.

Fresh start in Sweden With Rogle BK, Kuhlman gets another shot to keep playing meaningful hockey.

The SHL is fast, physical, and highly competitive , and it might be just the right fit.

His time in Finland showed he can produce and still play with pace.

This isnt a farewell tour.

Kuhlman still has plenty to give, and if last year was any indication, Rogle might be getting a solid return on this one-year bet.
