Former Gonzaga Forward Announces Commitment to WCC Program originally appeared on Athlon Sports.Former Gonzaga forward Pavle Stosic found a new home in the transfer portal, announcing a commitment to Ed Schilling and the Pepperdine Waves on Friday.Stosic returns to the WCC after spending last season in the Mountain West with Utah State, where he redshirted under head coach Jerrod Calhoun.Prior to that Stosic played sparingly as a freshman for Mark Few and the Zags, appearing in 14 games in 2023-24 and playing a total of 47 minutes - almost entirely in garbage time.

All told the 6'9 Serbian scored 14 points with 11 rebounds, three blocks, two assists, and one steal in his Zag career, shooting 6-10 on two pointers, 2-4 from the free throw line, and 0-6 from beyond the arc.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Pepperdine Mens Basketball (@pepperdinehoops)Stosic was an extremely late addition to Gonzaga's roster in 2023-24, committing and coming over to the US after the academic year had already started.

Being so far behind the 8-ball made it unlikely he would contribute much in his first season, but a full year under his belt at Gonzaga and another full year with the Aggies should have Stosic ready to contribute right away for the Waves. At 6'9 and with above average athleticism, Stosic brings much needed size to Pepperdine's frontcourt.

He is the third portal addition for coach Schilling, joining guards Styles Phipps and Mike Saunders from Grand Canyon and McNeese, respectively. The Waves finished 13-22 overall and 4-14 in WCC play in 2024-25 and have undergone a complete rebuild this offseason after losing their top six scorers from last year either to graduation or the transfer portal.Related: Top Ranked Transfer Portal Guard Commits to WCC SchoolThis story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 8, 2025, where it first appeared..
