He spent only one season in Cincinnati, but it was an epic one.

And over the weekend, Shin-Soo Choo finally celebrated the conclusion of a brilliant baseball career.

Choo received an awesome retirement ceremony in Korea to get proper fan recognition after deciding over the winter that he wouldn't be putting the uniform on anymore.

It was an honorable conclusion for a former MLB star who spent most of his career with Cleveland and Texas but made a fantastic one-year pit stop in Cincinnati.

Choo joined the Reds for his age-30 season in 2013.

He batted .285 (with a .423 OBP) with 34 doubles, two triples, 21 homers and 20 steals.

He walked a ridiculous 112 times, a career-high.

Choo finished 12th in NL MVP voting that season, the highest he ever placed in that honor.

Adrian Beltre and Cole Hamels made the trip all the way to Korea to attend Shin-soo Choos retirement ceremony this weekend.

After his one year in Cincy, Choo played another seven years in Texas.

In total, he was a .275 hitter (.377 OBP) with 218 home runs and 157 steals.

Choo's last MLB season was with the Rangers in 2020.

He spent the past four seasons in the Korea Baseball Organization.

In the KBO, Choo batted .263 (.388 OBP) with 54 more homers before hanging up his spikes.
