Projected as a First-Round Pick in 2026 NFL Mock Draft originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Auburn Tigers certainly have not had anything to boast about among their wide receiver room over the years.

That was until KeAndre Lambert-Smith nearly posted 1,000 yards in his lone season on the Plains, and the Tigers fielded a promising freshman duo of Cam Coleman and Malcom Simmons last season.

Now, head coach Hugh Freeze and wide receivers coach Marcus Davis are hoping to replicate that production in 2025.

Enter Georgia Tech transfer Eric Singleton Jr.

In a recent 2026 NFL mock draft released by CBS Sports Ryan Wilson, Singleton Jr.

was pegged as the No.

30 overall pick to the Buffalo Bills.

While the 2026 draft is still nearly a year away and Singleton Jr.

must continue his stellar play, the projection is still notable.

If this were to hold true, he would become the Tigers first first-round wide receiver since Chris Woods was selected as the No.

28 pick to the Los Angeles Raiders in 1984.

is tabbed as the fifth-best returning wide receiver in the nation, according to Pro Football Focus, and is the highest-ranked transfer receiver by the outlets metrics.

He totaled 1,468 receiving yards over the past two seasons the second most among returning Power Four wide receivers.

Additionally, 664 of those receiving yards came on deep balls, the most among all returning Power Four receivers, giving Auburn a true deep-threat option from anywhere on the field.

Singleton Jr.

is just one of many talented wideouts on the Tigers roster this season as the aforementioned duo of Coleman the sixth-best returning receiver on PFFs list and Simmons are aiming to build off a pair of strong freshman campaigns.

With the additions of Wake Forest transfer Horatio Fields and incoming freshman Sam Turner, along with the emergence of Perry Thompson, Auburn boasts its most talented wide receiver corps, maybe ever.

With an offense looking to get Auburn over the hump over four consecutive losing seasons in 2025, Singleton Jr.

will play a pivotal role in the Tigers offensive success and gives Oklahoma quarterback transfer Jackson Arnold a reliable weapon out wide.
