The Big Ten university landed the nation's No.

1 overall tight end for 2026 in Mark Bowman.

The Mater Dei High star hails from the same high school that produced Amon-Ra St.

Brown and other former Trojans.

Except Bowman isn't compared to the Detroit Lions star.

One national recruiting analyst revealed Bowman has drawn comparisons to one impact rookie from the league.

Greg Biggins of 247Sports evaluated the impact of Bowman's commitment.

He mentioned the name Brock Bowers in the prospect evaluation of Bowman.

USC head coach Lincoln Riley during the 2024 season.

Gary A Vasquez-Imagn Images "Bowman has been drawing Brock Bowers comparisons since his freshman year, and there is a lot of validity to it.," Biggins wrote.

"Like Bowers, Bowman is a plus athlete who plays more like a jumbo receiver than a tight end.

He's a high level athlete who runs clean routes and gets a ton of separation."Biggins adds that Bowman brings another rare skillset for a prospect of his talent.

"We've seen him in multiple settings and have always been impressed with quick twitch and change of direction ability.

He can dominate in 50-50 and jump-ball situations and has high-level body control and hand-eye coordination," Biggins wrote.

He adds that Bowman brings a strong catch radius and ball-tracking ability.

The Monarchs star even reclassified to the 2026 class after originally representing the 2027 recruiting cycle.

Bowman adds to a long list of blue chip recruits for the nation's top-ranked recruiting class.

Except he's now the first TE verbal commit for head coach Lincoln Riley and company.
