Could the Rockets Really Trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo?

If Giannis Antetokounmpo were to ever ask out of Milwaukee , would the Houston Rockets have the assets to get him? According to Bleacher Reports Andy Bailey , they might.

Bailey recently proposed a blockbuster trade idea that sends Antetokounmpo to Houston in exchange for Fred VanVleet , Amen Thompson , a 2027 first-round pick (via Phoenix), a 2028 pick swap, and first-rounders in 2030 and 2032.

Thats six assets including two starters for a two-time MVP.

Yes, that would hurt, Bailey wrote of including Thompson.

But the chances of Thompson becoming a multi-time MVP are pretty low, even if he does have plenty of star potential.

Trading him, VanVleet (and his hefty salary), and a boatload of picks for Giannis would give the Rockets one of the best starting frontcourts in the league.

He and Alperen Sengun can play together.
