Former IronPigs and Phillies: Where are they now?

Ben Lively revived his career again the last two seasons with Cleveland, combining for a 15-12 record, 3.68 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 38 starts.

But the former Lehigh Valley IronPig and Philadelphia Phillie recently suffered a major setback.

He had Tommy John surgery last week and will be out up to 18 months.

Lively, 33, pitched parts of 2017-18 seasons with the Phillies and 2016-18 with the IronPigs after coming to the organization from the Reds in the Marlon Byrd trade.

Here is a look at how other former Phillies/IronPigs are doing in 2025 (in alphabetical order): C Jorge Alfaro : Hitting .216 with 11 homers and 35 RBIs in 50 games with Nashville, Triple-A affiliate of the Brewers.

Spent parts of 2016-18 with the Phillies and 2017 with the IronPigs.

LHP Kolby Allard : 2-0 with 1.88 ERA in 10 games with Cleveland, including one start.

Split time in 2024 with IronPigs and Phillies.

UTL Cody Asche : After spending parts of four seasons with the IronPigs and Phillies and retiring in 2019, he is the Orioles hitting coach.

RHP Andrew Bailey : He is the Red Sox pitching coach after retiring in 2017.

He spent parts of 2016 with the IronPigs and Phillies C Rob Brantley : Had three hits in seven at-bats with the Marlins before going on the 60-day injured list on April 21 with a right lat strain.

The 35-year-old hit .314 in 2019 with the IronPigs, his only season in the organization.

RHP Connor Brogdon : 4.35 ERA in last 10 games with the Angels.

Has not allowed an earned run in his last seven appearances.

Spent parts of five seasons with the Phillies and four with the IronPigs.

RHP David Buchanan : Released by the Rangers on April 28, after going 0-1 with a 5.28 ERA in six starts for Triple-A Round Rock.

Had two stints with the IronPigs, including 2024, after spending seven years in Asia.

RHP Carlos Carrasco : 2-2 with a 5.91 ERA in eight games, six starts, before being designated for assignment by the Yankees.

He cleared waivers and has pitched twice since for the RailRiders.

He spent parts of 2008-09 with the IronPigs.

UTL Kody Clemens : Batting .267 with five homers and five doubles in 29 games with the Twins after being traded April 26 by the Phillies.

He spent parts of two seasons with the IronPigs and Phils.

RHP Dylan Covey : 1-1 with a 0.00 ERA and one save in six appearances with Gwinnett.

He is on the injured list.

Was with the Phillies in 2023 and split time between the parent club and the minors in 2024.

Crawford : Batting .283 with 22 RBIs, 28 runs and 13 extra-base hits in 58 games with the Mariners.

The Phillies 2013 first-round pick spent three seasons with the IronPigs and two with Philly.

RHP Hans Crouse : Released by the Angels on April 6, after making two appearances, one save, for Triple-A Salt Lake City.

He spent parts of 2022-23 with the IronPigs and made two starts in 22 for the Phillies.

RHP Jose Cuas : Has a 33.75 ERA in two games with Double-A Columbus in the Braves system after the Phillies released him in May.

He had a 13.50 ERA in seven games with the IronPigs before his release.

RHP John Curtiss : 1-1 with one save and a 6.17 ERA in 18 games with Triple-A Reno in the Diamondbacks system.

This is his seventh team since appearing in nine games with the IronPigs in 2019.

RHP Enyel De Los Santos : 1-2, 3.16 ERA, 1.09 WHIP in 25 games with Braves.

Has been with the Pirates, Indians, White Sox, Yankees and Padres since leaving the Phillies in 2021.

LHP Jake Diekman : Retired on May 23.

Spent parts of 2012-13 and 15 with the IronPigs and 2012-15 with the Phillies.

RHP Seranthony Dominguez : 2-1 with one save and a 4.84 ERA in 24 games with the Orioles.

Spent parts of six seasons with the Phillies and four years with the IronPigs before being traded last year to Baltimore.

RHP Zach Eflin : 5-2 with a 4.47 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in eight starts with the Orioles.

Spent parts of three seasons with the IronPigs and seven with the Phillies.

RHP Jerad Eickhoff : Is the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos pitching coach after retiring after the 2023 season.

First pitched for the IronPigs and Phillies in 2017.

LHP Bailey Falter : 4-3 with a 3.14 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 12 starts with the Pirates.

He spent parts of 2021-23 with the IronPigs and Phillies.

C Aramis Garcia : Hitting .275 with 10 home runs and 20 RBIs in 33 games with Triple-A Reno in the Diamondbacks.

He spent almost all of the previous two seasons with the IronPigs.

RHP Luis Garcia : Put on Dodgers 15-day injured list late last month.

Was 2-0 with a 4.50 ERA in 26 games.

Spent parts of five seasons with the IronPigs and six years with the Phillies.

RHP Kyle Gibson : Allowed a run on four hits in three hits for Triple-A Durham (Rays) after being signed following his release by the Orioles on May 20.

Pitched in 2021-22 for the Phillies.

LHP Tyler Gilbert : 1-1 with a 4.85 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 13 games with the White Sox.

He went on the injured list in mid-May with a knee injury before making his first rehab appearance Thursday with Triple-A Charlotte.

He allowed a run on two hits and two walks in one inning Thursday against the IronPigs, whom he pitched for in 2018-19 and 24.

He threw a no-hitter for the Diamondbacks on Aug.

1B Darick Hall : Batting .194 with three homers in 34 games for Triple-A Indianapolis (Pirates).

Ended his time in the Phillies organization (2016 draft pick) with a walk-off home run in the IronPigs 2024 finale.

OF Austin Hays : Batting .303 with 15 extra-base hits and 25 RBIs in 31 games for the Reds.

Hit .256 in 22 games last season with the Phillies.

LHP Jakob Hernandez : Released by the Orioles on May 16, after making one appearance in the Florida Coast League.

He missed most of last year because of injury.

Spent parts of 2021-23 with the IronPigs.

RHP Jeff Hoffman : 5-2 with 13 saves, a 5.74 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 27 games with the Blue Jays.

One of his saves came last week against the Phillies, where he pitched in 2023-24.

1B/DH Rhys Hoskins : Batting .269 with nine homers, nine doubles in 59 games of his second year with the Brewers.

He was the 2017 IL MVP with the IronPigs before spending the next five-plus season with the Phillies.

OF Travis Jankowski : Started the year with the White Sox before being traded on April 25 to the Rays, who sent him to Triple-A after coming off the injured list (groin).

Spent time in 2021 with the Phillies and IronPigs.

Gary Jones : Former IronPigs manager (2018-21) is the major league coach with the Tigers.

Hes been on their staff since 2022.

C-1B Tommy Joseph : After spending parts of two years with the IronPigs and Phillies and retiring in 2021, he is the Orioles assistant hitting coach.

RHP Michael Kelly : Pitched a scoreless 1 1/3 innings in relief in his 2025 debut June 5 for the Athletics.

He spent most of 2022 with the IronPigs and pitched in four games that year for the Phillies.

RHP Craig Kimbrel : Was 1-1 with three saves and a 2.45 ERA in 15 games with Gwinnett before being called up Friday by the Braves.

INF Scott Kingery : Has a double and a walk in nine plate appearances since being called up by the Angels in late May.

He was batting .373 with 31 hits in 21 games with Triple-A Tacoma before the promotion.

LHP Brandon Leibrandt : 1-0 with one save, a 2.85 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 10 games, nine starts, with the RailRiders.

He was with the IronPigs in 2017-18 before having one of several surgeries that cost him 2019.

He made his MLB debut in 2020 for the Marlins.

He also pitched for the Reds in 2024.

RHP Mark Leiter Jr.

: 3-3 with two saves, a 3.51 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 29 games with the Yankees.

The NJIT product spent parts of 2017-18 with the IronPigs and Phillies.

RHP Michael Lorenzen : 3-6 with a 5.12 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 12 starts for the Royals.

Made 11 appearances for the Phillies in 2023, including a no-hitter in his second start on Aug.

RHP James McArthur : On the 60-day injured list follow right elbow surgery.

Was 5-7 with 18 saves, 4.92 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 57 games last year with the Royals.

OF Andrew McCutchen : Batting .249 with five homers in 49 games of his second stint with the Pirates.

He was with the Phillies in 2019-21.

INF Vimael Machin : Former IronPig is batting .286 with 39 RBIs in 59 games with Triple-A Norfolk (Orioles).

UTL Nick Maton : Batted .167 in 25 games this year with the White Sox and now is hitting .194 in 11 games with Triple-A Charlotte, which is playing Lehigh Valley this week.

1B-DH Joey Meneses : Batting .274 with 22 doubles in 54 games with the Triple-A Syracuse Mets.

He was the 2018 IL MVP with the IronPigs.

LHP Erik Miller : 2-0 with 1.35 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in 24 relief appearances with the Giants.

Spent part of 2022 with the IronPigs.

LHP Hoby Milner : 1-1 with a 1.82 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 28 games for the Rangers.

Spent parts of 2016-18 with the IronPigs and 2017-18 with the Phillies.

OF Mickey Moniak : Batting .212 with 13 extra-base hits and 15 RBIs in 55 games with the Rockies.

The Phillies 2016 first-round pick played the two previous seasons with the Angels.

RHP McKinley Moore : 6.23 ERA and 1.73 WHIP in eight games this year with the RailRiders, where he is currently on the injured list for the last month.

RHP Vinny Nittoli : Has a 3.50 ERA in 18 games with Triple-A Nashville (Brewers).

C Logan OHoppe : Batting .251 with 13 home runs and 31 RBIs in 53 games for the Angels.

Spent part of 2021 with the IronPigs before being traded the following year for Brandon Marsh.

Spent parts of 2023-24 with the IronPigs and Phillies.

OF Cristian Pache : Batting .228 in 33 games with Triple-A Reno in the Diamondbacks system.

Was traded by the Phillies to the Orioles in 2024, then signed in the offseason by the Diamondbacks.

RHP Tyler Phillips : Has a 3.99 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 19 relief appearances.

Spent 2023-24 with the IronPigs and made his MLB debut last year with the Phillies.

RHP Nick Pivetta : 6-2, 3.16 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 12 starts with the Padres.

Spent three seasons with the Phillies and two with the IronPigs.
