76ers predicted to acquire $108 million wing in blockbuster trade involving Paul George | Sporting News

Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George's first season in Philadelphia was very disappointing.
He joined the 76ers last offseason, signing a four-year 211 million contract with tons of fanfare.
However, his first season in Philadelphia was marred with injury.
He was limited to 41 games last season.
While George expressed his desire to stay in Philadelphia, George is on the opposite end of 30 and could be a player the team considers putting on the trading block.
Now, as we pivot to the offseason, Kyler Fox of Sports Illustrated has suggested a trade that would send Paul George to the Nets for Cam Johnson.
Nets receive : Paul George, 2025 first-rounder (No.3 Pick ) 76ers receive: Cam Johnson, 2025 first-rounder (No.8 pick) The Brooklyn Nets are looking to move up in the NBA draft after missing out on the No.
1 pick.
Last season, they finished with a record of 26-56, which gave them the sixth-best odds to secure the No.
1 overall pick.
This move would allow them to move up in the draft while adding a proven star in George.
George, when healthy, remains one of the top two players in the league.
At the same time, it gives the Nets another trade asset.
The 76ers get an upgrade on the wing, going from Paul George to Cam Johnson while maintaining a lottery pick.
Johnson is coming in another stellar season, averaging 18.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
His ability to space the floor could be ideal while playing with All-Stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
The 76ers reportedly have no interest in trading the No.3 overall pick, but it would be hard to pass up on a win-now caliber player like.
