The New York Knicks dream postseason run ended after a 125-108 defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

In what was a must-win game for the New York Knicks , the team looked miles off their best, shooting only 28% from three-point range and conceding 25 fast break points on the night.

Pascal Siakam led the way for the Indiana Pacers as he scored 31 points on 55.6% shooting from the field.

Meanwhile, no player from the Knicks was able to take charge in Game 6 and they conceded 16 turnovers to make things worse for them.

One player who always turns up for the Knicks is Josh Hart , but even he had a bad night, scoring only four points and shooting just 1-6.

Josh Hart feels he did not do well Knicks fans were not pleased with what they saw from Hart , who is one of the key pieces on their team.

After having started for almost the entire season and the playoffs, Hart was moved to a bench role midway through the series against the Pacers.

He adapted well in the last two games, but failed to make the difference in a crucial Game 6 and was quick to admit his fault.

I think I didnt play how I normally play, said Hart after the game, I failed the team.

I didnt bring it how I should have, especially in this series, if I played better, it couldve been a different situation.

Hart received praise from Knicks legend Patrick Ewing for his performances in these playoffs.

However, he was not his usual self and this could be due to him dislocating his finger in the fourth quarter.

Hart has been an integral part of the roster both years and it is important the team continues showing their trust in him.

The Pacers are a team that has a deep roster and that is one of the reasons why they did well in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Knicks played with a limited rotation and questions have to be asked about Tom Thibodeau s coaching in these situations.

Karl-Anthony Towns was the centerpiece of the blockbuster trade that was expected to turn things around in New York, but his defensive resilience cost the team massively in the playoffs.

pic.twitter.com/Mc0QWB1BRv Hart, on the other hand, is a player who can play well on both ends and although he had a one-off game in the series decider, there have been many instances where he has helped the Knicks get over the line.

The team will re-evaluate their roster in the offseason and might be tempted to trade for a big star as some big names are expected to be in the market.

However, trading a player like Hart would prove to be costly as there are not many in the league like him.
