The Atlanta Falcons havent exactly silenced the rumors swirling around tight end Kyle Pitts and now more signs are pointing toward a potential change of scenery for the former top-five pick.

Sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz that multiple teams have reached out to the Falcons about the availability of TE Kyle Pitts.

While Schultz noted that nothing is imminent, he added that Atlanta would prefer to keep him but Im told it would take at least a Day 2 pick to even spark serious talks.

Thats a steep price tag for a player who, at just 24 years old, is entering the final year of his rookie contract after having his fifth-year option picked up.

Pitts still owns the distinction of being the highest-drafted tight end in NFL history selected fourth overall in 2021 but hes struggled to live up to that billing.

In four seasons, Pitts has totaled just 2,651 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, numbers that have led many to label him as a bust.

Hes dealt with injuries and inconsistent quarterback play, but even Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson didnt offer a ringing endorsement when asked recently what the team wants to see in Year 5.

For Kyle, it's just how can he take that next step of, you know, next level of detail, next level of consistency, Robinson said.

He's in Year 2 of the system and I think what we've always talked about with Kyle is just play fast.

No matter what, play fast, take the thinking out involved with it.

CBS Sports Cody Benjamin believes one possible suitor could be the New York Giants, even despite their limited cap space.

Follow The Sporting News on WhatsApp Are the Giants in a position to pay for immediate help? They may be short on salary cap space, but Pitts' appeal, at age 24, is that he could also stick around for the long term, Benjamin wrote.

Head coach Brian Daboll would surely be OK pairing the big man with Malik Nabers, giving Russell Wilson an added safety valve for an offense sorely lacking secondary playmakers over the last few years.

Assuming this link-up would extend beyond 2025, Pitts' arrival would also bode well for Jaxson Dart, the presumptive quarterback of the future.

Daboll, a former tight ends coach, could be the one to unlock Pitts potential.

But the cost, both in compensation and future contract expectations, remains a real hurdle especially for a player whose market value is hard to define after an underwhelming start to his career..
