The Pittsburgh Steelers have a glaring need at wide receiver, as the team recently traded George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys and doesn't have a reliable No.2 receiver opposite DK Metcalf.

Robert Woods and Calvin Austin III are solid depth players in the position group, but Pittsburgh must add another starting-caliber receiver to take some pressure off Metcalf, who is entering his first season with the team after being traded to the Steelers from the Seattle Seahawks in March.

General manager Omar Khan could search the free agency market for another playmaker, but Sportsnaut's Andrew Buller-Russ believes Pittsburgh should try to pull off a blockbuster trade for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

However, Buller-Russ does question why the Steelers would make a move for Hill after their other wide receiver moves this offseason.

Were not sure why the Pittsburgh Steelers would trade George Pickens only to later trade for Tyreek Hill, yet we can certainly see the appeal to add one of the games best speed threats.

But would Pittsburgh really want that much invested in their receiving corps after also trading for DK Metcalf and giving him a $132 million contract? Hill has been involved in trade rumors after he basically requested a trade out of Miami after the team's Week 18 loss to the New York Jets that ended their 2024 campaign.

The superstar receiver did end up clearing up his comments , but it's evident that his long-term future with the Dolphins is murky.

If Miami decides to move Hill or is forced to move him, Pittsburgh should try to acquire him.

Though it will be tough to fit Hill's $90 million contract in the budget, there's no denying that the eight-time Pro Bowler would take Arthur Smith's offense to the next level and greatly bolster the receiver room.

With Aaron Rodgers likely on the way, the Steelers need to add as many playmakers as possible.

Hill is coming off a down year for his standards, but the five-time All-Pro is still one of the most dynamic pass-catchers in football and would form an electric duo with Metcalf.

If possible, this is a move Pittsburgh should make at some point this offseason.
