Patriots QB Drake Maye’s favorite target is clear after offseason moves | Sporting News

The New England Patriots added a bunch of talented pass catchers this offseason.
Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins came aboard in free agency, and talented rookie Kyle Williams could compete for a job immediately.
But it sounds like in the early going this offseason, QB Drake Maye is sticking with old reliable.
Maye counted on tight end Hunter Henry in OTAs earlier in the week, according to reporting from Mass Live.
"Its clear that Henry is still Mayes security blanket," wrote Mark Daniels of Mass Live .
"All three of his receptions came after a Maye incomplete pass.
That was seen plenty last season when Henry finished with 66 receptions, 674 yards, and two touchdowns." Henry, 30, is under contract with the Patriots through 2026.

For one, it's early.
Maye still has to build up chemistry with his new teammates.
The Pats also don't have Stefon Diggs in town as he spends his May partying.
There's also a whole new coaching staff in New England, so different pieces of the setup there are being installed each and every day.
The good news is that a season after having very little pass-catching talent around him, Maye now has a lot of options to choose from.
