Ricky Pearsall needs to be available for the San Francisco 49ers.

They're already dealing with injury concerns surrounding Brandon Aiyuk.

And with Pearsall entering his second season, he may be the guy that takes the biggest workload if Aiyuk misses time.

But now it's no sure thing that Pearsall stays healthy, either.

Pearsall isn't expected to participate in OTAs and likely won't be available until training camp, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Thursday .

The receiver from Florida missed time last year in training camp with a hamstring problem.

It hasn't been made clear whether this is the same hammy.

The 2024 No.

31 overall pick played in 11 games as a rookie.

He had 31 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns.

Pearsall just has to be on the field.

That means Aiyuk, and it means Pearsall, too.

And the 49ers will have to hope this isn't a problem that persists for too long.
