Are the Commanders an ideal fit for top remaining free-agent running back?

Free agency and the NFL draft are over.
Every team's primary moves have been made, and all 32 NFL teams are currently in the middle of the offseason program.
While the majority of free agency is done, it's always ongoing.
Injuries or being unable to fill a hole via the NFL draft could lead teams to sign a veteran free agent.
The Washington Commanders find themselves in that position.
Everyone thinks the Commanders didn't do enough at edge rusher.
Washington is happy with its current group and would probably like to see how they look in training camp before adding another veteran to the mix.
While pass rusher is the popular need for Washington, ESPN's Matt Bowen has another idea.
In identifying the best fits for the top remaining free agents, the former Redskins safety thinks running back J.K.
Dobbins would be an ideal fit for the Commanders and OC Kliff Kingsbury.
Finding an ideal fit for a veteran running back isn't easy at this point in the offseason, especially for a player with Dobbins' rich injury history.
He missed four games with an MCL sprain last season, yet he still managed a career high in rushing yards (905) and tied a career high in rushing touchdowns (9).In Kliff Kingsbury's offense in Washington, I could see Dobbins providing competition for Brian Robinson Jr.
as the early-down runner.
Dobbins can run between the tackles and has the juice to create big plays on the ground.
He took 27 carries for 10 or more yards last season.Dobbins is only available at this point because of his injury history.
In five NFL seasons, he has never played a full 17-game schedule.
However, at only 26, He is healthy and coming off the best season of his career.
In his first season with the Chargers, he rushed for 905 yards and nine touchdowns and was an essential part of L.A.'s offense.
The Commanders have Brian Robinson Jr., Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols, Chris Rodriguez Jr.
and rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt.
The backfield appears crowded, but Dobbins would be an excellent addition, especially with Washington's improved offensive line.
Dobbins is a former college teammate of Terry McLaurin, Marshon Lattimore, Noah Brown and Jalyn Holmes.
