ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Ellie Kersey, Wyoming Seminary lacrosse

Wyoming Seminarys Ellie Kersey scored five goals and had three assists in a victory over Lake-Lehman in the Class 2A lacrosse quarterfinals.
Kersey, who plays midfield, reached 100 career goals earlier in the season in a nonleague matchup against Bellefonte.
Five goals and three assists in a playoff game, how would you describe your performance: I was super excited.
Obviously, everyone wants to score but I love getting the ball to my teammates and getting everyone involved.
You have proven you can score.
How important is it to get your teammates involved: It is very important.
Lacrosse is a team sport and we have a lot of great players on the field.
The more everyone is involved we can keep our heads up and win games.
What were the team goals at the beginning of the season: Hoping to win a district championship is a huge goal.
Making it to the state playoffs is another.
Just getting better every day and putting everything we have out on the field.
Did you have any personal goals before the season began: I definitely wanted to hit 100 goals.
I want to keep improving in the draw circle and continue to build my skills to get better every day.
