Christian Gonzalez and Drake Maye snubbed in 'under 25' NFL rankings

Pro Football Focus released its list of top 25 players under the age of 25 on Monday, and both New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and cornerback Christian Gonzalez were snubbed on the list.In 12 NFL starts as a rookie, Maye managed to make the Pro Bowl with 2,276 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
He didn't have much to work with at receiver, and the offensive line struggled all season.
However, Maye showed flashes of potential as the next great young NFL quarterback.
Gonzalez might be the most egregious snub on the list.
He's an All-Pro defender and one of the best cornerbacks in the league.
He recorded 59 tackles, 11 pass deflections and two interceptions last season.
Yet, despite an incredible bounce-back year after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in 2023, Gonzalez was not included on the PFF list.
Both Maye and Gonzalez are in line to have big years in 2025.
If anything, this could add even more fuel to their competitive fires for the upcoming season.Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook. This article originally appeared on Patriots Wire: Christian Gonzalez and Drake Maye snubbed in 'under 25' NFL rankings.
