Commanders 2025 preseason over/under win total among the biggest swings from 2024

The Washington Commanders' 2024 season was a magical one, far exceeding anyone's expectations.

Their performance and attitude about the game changed the NFL's view of the team from disparaging to something close to respect.

They were only projected to win 6.5 games in 2024, and they clearly blew that out of the water.Now that the 2025 NFL schedule has been released and teams are largely done adding players, we can take a look at how many games each team is predicted to win this year.

They drafted the franchise QB Jayden Daniels, and behind him, Washington's offense was humming as Daniels found a connection with receiver Terry McLaurin.

Washington beefed up its defense coming into 2025, adding interior defensive linemen such as Javon Kinlaw and Eddie Goldman, along with Deatrich Wise on the edge.

It got McLaurin a running mate in Deebo Samuel.

Washington also reinforced both offensive tackle positions, drafting Josh Conerly Jr.

in the first round and trading four draft picks to acquire Laremy Tunsil.

The Commanders have favorable matchups against the Giants, Raiders, Falcons, Bears and Cowboys in the first half of their season.It's amazing the difference a year can make, right? The Commanders are predicted to win three more games in 2025 than they were predicted to win in 2024.Let's do some math real quick, though.

If the Commanders were projected to win 6.5 games in 2024 and ended up winning 12, then perhaps they will win 16 games in 2025.Before you start hemming and hawing, no, it's not likely that the Commanders win 16 games in 2025.

But it's also not out of the question.

Nothing is impossible, and if you don't believe that after watching this team do a 180-degree turn in 2024, then you haven't been paying attention.The Commanders are in line to repeat the success they had last season.
