Week 6 of the college football season serves as a bounce-back point for a handful of schools.

The Georgia Bulldogs top the list of programs in need of a turnaround after a late September loss and they have the perfect cure for their troubles against the Auburn Tigers.

Georgia has not played a compete game yet in SEC play, but it has the opportunity to change that against an Auburn program that has gone through all sorts of struggles under Hugh Freeze.

The Clemson Tigers have bounced back quite well from their Week 1 defeat to Georgia, and in fact, they are in play for the ACC's College Football Playoff automatic bid.

Week 6 was supposed to be one of Clemson's biggest game days of the season, but the Florida State Seminoles' freefall has made it a 15.5-point favorite that has the potential to win by three or more touchdowns.

ET, ESPN) Georgia comes into Saturday with a seven-game winning streak against Auburn, one of its oldest rivals.

The Bulldogs scored at least 27 points in six of those seven victories and have won each of the last three meetings in Athens by scores of 27-10, 27-6 and 42-10.

Another blowout could be in the cards given how badly the Bulldogs need an impressive performance and how poor Auburn looks on offense.

Georgia is in need of a complete 60-minute showing in SEC play.

It struggled in the first three quarters against the Kentucky Wildcats and had an awful first half in the Week 5 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

This is one of the biggest get-right games of the season for any program because of what lies ahead for Kirby Smart's team.

It has to be firing on all cylinders for its trip to Austin on October 19 to face the Texas Longhorns.

The Ole Miss Rebels and Tennessee Volunteers are on the calendar in November.

Georgia needs a care-free week where the game is overtime by halftime.

Auburn can provide that.

The Tigers lost all three of their games against power-conference opposition in 2024 and just gave up 17 fourth-quarter points to the Oklahoma Sooners and freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins at home in Week 5.

Auburn's demoralizing loss at home was the absolute worst result for it to go into Georgia with, and unlike the Bulldogs, it may not be able to bounce back, especially against a UGA defense that is hungry to make a statement.

No one expected Clemson to be an overwhelming favorite in Tallahassee in Week 6 when the season began.

Now, it's a surprise to see the point spread at only 15.5 points given how far the Seminoles have dropped off.

Florida State's latest low was a 42-16 road loss to the SMU Mustangs.

The Noles have allowed at least 20 points in all of their four losses.

Clemson comes into Saturday off its third straight 40-point performance.

It rolled through the Stanford Cardinal in a 40-14 victory.

Cade Klubnik and Co.

have won the last three games by at least 20 points and could post the same type of result on Florida State.

The two offenses are in polar opposite positions at the moment.

Klubnik has 12 passing touchdowns and 984 passing yards, while D.J.

Uiagalelei has two more interceptions than passing scores.

There's no end in sight for how bad Florida State will be in 2024 and now a double-digit loss to Clemson is the expectation instead of a surprise result .
