COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Hobart blows out Keystone College

LA PLUME, Pa.

The Hobart College Statesmen football team is heading into Homecoming and Family Weekend with its first win streak of the 2024 season.

Hobart improved to 3-1, and they won their second contest in a row, after blowing out Keystone College 52-9 on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania.

The two schools had not met until the 2021 season and Hobart is now a perfect 4-0 all-time vs.

Keystone over the last four seasons and has outscored Keystone 218-39 in those four matchups.

In their latest win, the Statesmen collected a total of 425 yards on offense, and 276 of that came in the air.

Hobart senior quarterback Johnny Colombi had a phenomenal game as he finished 15-for-21 throwing with 268 yards and four touchdowns.

First-year wide receiver Johnny Harding and junior wide receiver Ahmad Crowell each caught two of Colombis touchdown passes.

Harding finished with four catches and 109 yards, while Crowell hauled in four catches of his own for 56 yards.

Taylor both ran in touchdowns to give Hobart six TDs of offense in the win.

The Statesmen contributed with seven TDs in the game as first-year defensive back Corey Rock grabbed in an interception and ran 9 yards to complete a pick-six touchdown for the seventh and final TD of the day.

Liberty League play is finally here for Hobart as they welcome Ithaca College this Saturday at 1 p.m.

Ithaca has gone a perfect 6-0 in each of the last two years in conference action but is off to a 1-2 start during this 2024 season..
