While the exodus from Notre Dame womens basketball might have been a sign that the team would struggle going forward, on Thursday, it showed that wasnt going to the be case.

Bella Ragone, a 6-foot, 2-inch small forward from Georgia committed to the Irish, giving them their first verbal of the 2026 cycle.

Its a great way to start, as shes ranked as the No.

23 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite.Whats interesting is that Ragone never officially visited South Bend, but the Irish have been after her for over a year.

The coaching staff offered last April, and the relationship has built since then.

The commitment of Ragone gives head coach Niele Ivey a great start to the class, and a foundational piece for the future.

This was a massive recruiting win for Notre Dame.

So grateful for this team and this school!! https://t.co/6pR4OyhEHu Bella Ragone (@Bella_Ragone07) May 22, 2025This article originally appeared on Fighting Irish Wire: Notre Dame womens basketball get a verbal from 4-star SF Bella Ragone.
