NASCAR icon Kyle Busch hilariously insisted his son Brexton taking part in ARCA would be a complete waste of time.

Brexton is something of a rising star in racing, despite his tender age.

At just 9 years old, Brexton raced his father head-to-head for the first time in competition at Millbridge Speedway back in March.

Busch expressed how much he enjoys seeing Brexton's early motorsport career.

He told Door Bumper Clear : I enjoy it.

I think it's fun.

It's just, while we were out doing all of this, traveling to these places and I'm sitting there in a pit area and when he was just running junior sprints, it was like, 'Okay, I'm kind of bored.

I could do something too.

I might as well be out there honing my skills or at least learning this thing and seeing what it's all about.

But so I've gotten into it and have run everywhere that we've been.

I have a car for me, a car for Brexton.

And so whenever I get the chance to get behind the wheel to go to the dirt shows, I'll go get some.

Busch is hopeful Brexton will dominate all classes at the Tulsa Shootout.

He added: I think I'll keep the stuff for a while, and if he likes it and still wants to go do it, and like Tulsa Shootout, right? We'll keep going and running Tulsa Shootout.

He has, right now, I mean, he's nine.

He can be in the restricters until he's 13 or 14.

So we've got three, four tries of that class to be able to go get a win.

So our goal, knock on wood, our aspirations would be for him to be the first one to collect all trophies of every division at Tulsa Shootout.

So that would be pretty cool.

So we'll keep running that stuff when it fits in.

Like he did all the micro world, he did the midget stuff, and now he's in the pavement world.

And so we'll definitely go do the pavement stuff.

And then when we can on weekends where we still have opportunity to go run some dirt stuff, stay on some dirt stuff and keep that craft.

Busch is still searching for a 64th win since winning in Madison, Illinois, back in June 2023.

The veteran will hope for more success in the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Sunday, May 18..
