Cooper Flagg's Mom Sends Clear Message After Historic Season

Cooper Flagg recently capped off a historic freshman season with the Duke Blue Devils.

The former No.

1 overall recruit led Duke to a 35-4 season, winning the Naismith Player of the Year award and the Wooden Award.

After leading Duke to its sixth 35-win season in program history and becoming just the fourth freshman to ever win the Wooden Award, next to Kevin Durant, Zion Williamson and Anthony Davis, he's headed to the NBA Draft.

As Cooper Flagg prepares for the draft, where he's projected to be selected as the No.

1 overall pick, he celebrated Mother's Day.

Cooper Flagg posted a photo with his mom Kelly Flagg, on social media and hours later a video surfaced online.

The former Duke star was on video, sending his mother a tribute, thanking her for the love and support throughout his basketball career.

"Hi mom," Cooper Flagg said.

"I love you so much.

I wouldn't be here without you.

I just want you to know that you're such a big part of my life, so I love you." Kelly Flagg then responded with tears running down her face in the video.

"You're going to have to cut this out," Kelly Flagg said.

(@DukeNBA) May 12, 2025Cooper Flagg finished his freshman season with the Duke Blue Devils posting 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

The Duke freshman also averaged 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.

Cooper Flagg led Duke in all five major statistical categories.

All three players are projected to be selected in the lottery of the 2025 NBA Draft.
