Norwell High's Madison Oliver commits to play Division I women's college basketball

Madison Oliver is bound for Division I college basketball.The Norwell High star announced Saturday night that she has committed to play at James Madison University in Virginia.The 6-foot Oliver shared South Shore League MVP honors with teammate Reagan Dowd, averaging 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds as Norwell (23-2) lost to St.

Mary's in the state final.

The Clippers, for the first time since 1989, appeared in the state final in her junior and senior seasons."Maddie is the most talented and complete player I have ever coached," Norwell coach Matt Marani wrote for Oliver's All-Scholastic biography in April.
