Nick Saban Doesn’t Hold Back on Auburn Alum Charles Barkley

Given that hes an Auburn alum, one would think 11-time NBA All-Star Charles Barkley and ex-Alabama head coach Nick Saban would be enemies.However, that doesnt seem to be the case given what the two have said about each other in the media over the last two years.Back in 2023, Barkley was complimentary of Saban, who retired that same year following a 12-2 record and 27-20 Rose Bowl loss to the Michigan Wolverines.I have a great deal of respect and admiration for him, Barkley said at the time.
He did a couple things that really made me feel proud, and I consider him a friend.
He called me one year to talk to the team and things like that about these kids are different than us.Theyve got to deal with social media.
