The playmakers with the finishing touch.
Ohio State sealed its national championship thanks to star receiver Jeremiah Smith making a play.
Notre Dame left Smith one-on-one in man coverage, and the true freshman made the Irish pay.
Meanwhile, Georgia and Penn State struggled in their respective playoff semifinals without playmakers at wide receiver.
LSU knows what an elite wide receiver room looks like.
The Tigers had historic offenses in 2019 and 2023 as Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr.
came through the program.
Today, we'll take a look at the best wide receiving corps in the SEC entering 2025.
5.
Texas A&M AggiesTexas A&M's placement on this list is debatable.
The Aggies are losing their five leading receivers from 2024, including Noah Thomas, who transferred to Georgia.
But A&M did good work in the transfer portal, and while the room lacks experience, there's no lack of talent.Five-star Terry Bussey is ready for a breakout season after flashing as a true freshman.
Bussey caught 17 passes for 216 yards while adding 111 yards on the ground.
When A&M gets Bussey the ball in space, good things happen.
With a few tune-ups, Bussey will be one of the SEC's top playmakers.
A&M added KC Concepcion and Mario Craver from the transfer portal.
Concepcion racked up 125 catches and 1,305 yards in two years with NC State.
He was one of the ACC's top red zone threats, catching 16 touchdowns.
Craver, playing at Mississippi State, posted 368 yards and three scores as a true freshman.
Craver liked the big play, averaging 21.6 yards per catch.
Arriving from the high school ranks is five-star Jerome Myles.
He'll have the chance to make an immediate impact with targets up for grabs.
4.
LSU TigersLike A&M, LSU is tasked with replacing significant production.
LSU is losing four of its top five receivers, but the Tigers return leading receiver Aaron Anderson.Anderson was a five-star recruit in 2022 and began his career at Alabama.
After one year with the Tide, he transferred back to his home state.
Anderson was a depth piece in 2023 before breaking out in 2024.
Anderson ranked No.

LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier and Anderson have a repertoire and the veteran receiver is slated for a big 2025.LSU went looking for receivers in the transfer portal, landing Barion Brown, Nic Anderson, and Destyn Hill.Brown was one of the top receivers on the market after contributing at Kentucky for three years.
Brown's speed is elite -- he can line up in the slot or on the outside and make plays from anywhere.
Anderson missed the 2024 season with an injury, but the former Oklahoma receiver was one of the SEC's top big-play threats in 2023.Look for Chris Hilton Jr.
to have a big year, too.
The fifth-year wideout finished 2024 on a high note and is finally healthy.3.
Texas LonghornsTexas lost Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond, its top two receivers from 2024, but the Longhorns are reloading.
Five-star Ryan Wingo caught 29 passes for 472 yards as a true freshman.
Wingo is one of the most talented receivers in college football and is ready to step into a starring role.
With Arch Manning stepping in at quarterback, the Longhorns' passing attack will be better.
Steve Sarkisian will call his shots with Wingo being a beneficiary.
Also returning is DeAndre Moore after not catching a pass as a true freshman in 2023.
Moore made the most of his chance as a sophomore with 456 yards and seven touchdowns.Texas signed two blue-chip receivers with Kaliq Lockett and Jamie Ffrench, entering the fold.

Auburn TigersAuburn has questions at quarterback, but the receiver room is in good shape.
The headliner is Cam Coleman.
The No.
4 overall recruit in the 2024 class caught 37 passes for 598 yards and eight scores as a true freshman.
Coleman is one of the most talented players in the country, and if Auburn finds an answer at QB, Coleman's ceiling is sky high.
Coleman finished the season strong with 306 yards in his final three games, including hitting the 100-yard mark in his final two SEC contests.
Auburn was aggressive in the transfer portal, signing ex-Georgia Tech receiver Eric Singleton.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Singleton was the No.
1-ranked receiver in the transfer portal.Coleman and Singleton have a chance to be the best wide receiver duo in the country.
Both have top-end speed, and there isn't much Coleman can't do.

This is a dangerous group.1.
Alabama Crimson TideRyan Williams took college football by storm as a 17-year-old in 2024.
The five-star wide receiver put up 139 yards in his college football debut vs.
Western Kentucky.
A few weeks later, Williams caught six passes for 177 yards vs.
Georgia, including a late touchdown to win the game for the Crimson Tide.
Williams didn't sustain the pace he set in September, 865 yards and eight scores as a true freshman isn't too shabby.
Returning with Williams is Germie Bernard, a former Washington receiver who followed Kalen DeBoer to Alabama.
Bernard was one of the SEC's top deep threats with 794 yards, averaging 15.9 yards per catch.
DeBoer is going to air it out.
Williams and Bernard both have a chance to eclipse 1,000 yards this fall, especially if Bama goes on a playoff run. There are questions about Alabama's wide receiver depth, but the Tide added transfer Isaiah Horton, a proven contributor from Miami. This article originally appeared on LSU Wire: Ranking the SEC's top five wide receiver rooms for 2025 season.
