Patriots players drop eggs in 2025 NFL schedule release video

The New England Patriots went back to school for an egg-dropping competition in their official 2025 NFL schedule release on Wednesday.Christian Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, Robert Spillane and Demario Douglas all participated, while quarterback Joshua Dobbs served as the judge.

The goal of the competition was to build protective layers around an egg to prevent it from cracking when dropped from an agreed upon height.Whenever an egg fell from the sky, the Patriots' social media team flashed a slate of 2025 games on the screen.

Gonzalez was the only player with an egg that didn't survive the fall.

Douglas had the most creative contraption of the four players with a padded box for the egg carried by balloons.

The overall theme of the video was the schedule dropping, like an egg.

They'll still be contending in a tough AFC East division, but given their improved roster, they might end up being the second-best team in the division behind the Buffalo Bills.

The Miami Dolphins aren't as scary as they were two years ago, and the New York Jets no longer have Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.

This year, the Patriots will be taking on an NFC South division that finished with a 28-40 record last season.

The New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers all finished with losing records.

There's hope that the Patriots will experience a dramatic turnaround after a 4-13 finish last season.

They've hired Mike Vrabel as their new head coach, brought back Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator and assembled a much more experienced coaching staff than the one they had last season.

The roster talent has also seen a significant improvement from moves made in free agency and the 2025 NFL draft.We'll see how well it pays off on the football field.
