There have been numerous changes with the Ohio State basketball program this offseason.

With the disappointing season last year and with all of the Name, Image and Likeness, and transfer portal comings and goings, that was to be expected. One item that flew a bit under the radar was an opening on head coach Jake Diebler's staff.

The opening was created when Talor Battle left to be an assistant with Penn State at the end of the 2024-2025 campaign.

That spot was filled by former Indiana assistant coach Brian Walsh according to an announcement on Friday. Before coming to Ohio State, Walsh was on Indiana's staff for eight years including the last three as an assistant.

He's had a heavy hand in recruiting and should fit well in that space for Diebler and company.

Walsh also has Ohio ties, having played at Xavier and Akron.

He also began his coaching career at Dayton before being lured to Indiana.Help us welcome the newest member of our coaching staff to Buckeye Nation !!@JakeDiebler has announced the hiring of Assistant Coach Brian Walsh.
