Karter Lumpkin, the son of former Georgia Bulldogs running back Kregg Lumpkin, has received a scholarship offer from the University of Georgia.

Lumpkin is still very young.

He is a member of the class of 2029.

Kregg Lumpkin played at Georgia from 2003-2007.

He posted 1,700 rushing yards on 352 rushing attempts and scored 15 touchdowns during his career at UGA.

Lumpkin went undrafted in the 2008 NFL draft, but appeared in 34 NFL games from 2008-2012.

He posted over 400 total yards in his NFL career.

Kregg Lumpkin battled injuries throughout his career at Georgia.

He served as a captain and was a key leader on several good Georgia teams during the Mark Richt era.

Josh Skelton, the head coach at Newton High School in Covington, Georgia, noted that Georgia offered Karter Lumpkin.

The young recruit also has a scholarship offer from the Georgia State Panthers and their head coach Dell McGee, who used to be the running backs coach at Georgia.

It will be interesting to see how Karter Lumpkin's career goes.

He's still too young to be ranked by any of the major recruiting services, but it would be pretty cool to see him play at Georgia like his father.
