The Pittsburgh Steelers have once again gone through a reset at the quarterback position this offseason.

They released Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, their two starters under center last year, and Mason Rudolph will now battle Will Howard, the sixth-round draft pick out of Ohio State, for the starting job this fall.Howard is fresh off leading Ohio State to the College Football Playoff National Championship, and Steelers Nation is hoping he will be worthy of becoming the true heir apparent to the retired Ben Roethlisberger.On Friday, Howard officially signed with the team, and that allowed him to take part in an offseason practice with it.

He was named the Offensive MVP of the national championship game after he completed 17 of 21 pass attempts for 231 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.Howard grew up on the outskirts of the greater Philadelphia area, and he has admitted that the Steelers were a team he wanted to be drafted by.
