The New York Yankees' third base issues are starting to show again.

Oswaldo Cabrera is starting to struggle, and relying on DJ LeMahieu may not work out.

The Yankees may need to finally trade for a third baseman.

The Colorado Rockies are 6-29 to start the season.

Despite their record, they have some valuable players who could be on the move this summer.

Ryan McMahon will be a name to watch.

Newsweek's Andrew Wright believes the Yankees could be one of the teams interested in him.

"McMahon is scuffling at the plate a bit so far this season, hitting .193 with just four home runs and 44 strikeouts in 119 at-bats," wrote Wright.

"That average has actually climbed drastically in the recent days, as McMahon has seven hits in his last 10 at-bats.

If McMahon is made available, the (Milwaukee) Brewers, (Chicago) Cubs, Yankees and (Cleveland) Guardians should all be on the phone trying to get a deal done to acquire him." McMahon is struggling to start the year, but perhaps it has to do with playing on a historically bad team.

He signed a six-year, $70 million deal in 2022 and is under contract through 2026.

He has a .743 career OPS and has hit 20-plus home runs in each of the last four seasons.

He was an All-Star last season as well.

McMahon could serve as the team's everyday third baseman, pushing Cabrera and LeMahieu into bench or utility roles.

Cabrera has just seven hits in his last 40 at-bats.

LeMahieu has proven that he cannot stay healthy at this stage in his career, and what he couldn't do at the plate was very evident last season.

Playing on a contender could get him back to playing like the player he truly is.

The Rockies are approaching the same territory as the 2024 Chicago White Sox when it comes to being among the worst teams ever.

Moving McMahon for prospects could start setting them up for the future.
