The Philadelphia 76ers won't know the status of their first-round pick until the lottery on May 12 as the pick is only top 6 protected.

However, if the Sixers do end up keeping that pick, then there are going to be plenty of options for President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and Co.

to choose from. It's time to look at some potential draft prospects.

The Sixers will have plenty of talented players to choose from and add to their stockpile of young pieces.

It's time to really break down the games of each of these prospects and see who best fits a Philadelphia team still focused on contending in the 2025-26 season if it can get some injury luck for once. This series continues with Rutgers star Dylan Harper.

The Sixers would need some luck on lottery night to not only keep their pick, but also move into the top 3 to have a chance at Harper, but there are some qualities that he has that would be helpful to this group. Here is a look at Harper and how he could potentially fit with the Sixers:Harper's 2024-25 statsCategoryPPGRPGAPGSPGFG%3FG%Harper's numbers19.44.64.01.448.4%33.3%StrengthsWhere to begin? Harper has such a smooth game on the offensive end.

He moves at his own pace, doesn't get flustered, is strong enough to get to his spots, and is a terrific finisher at the basket.

It's impressive to watch him get to the rim and find different ways to finish a tough layup or even make the right reads to dump off passes to cutting guards or bigs waiting for an opportunity.

For a player so young--he just turned 19--his poise is what stands out.

He has a tight handle and understands how to create the best shot within the offense, whether it's for himself or somebody else.

He was an average defender in college, but his length suggests he can be a difference-maker eventually.

WeaknessesThe shooting touch needs a lot of work.

He struggled with his 3-point shot at Rutgers so that is a concern.

There is also a school of thought that he will struggle a bit as a shot creator in the league because of the lack of a reliable jumper.

Of course, that can be worked out in the NBA, so that can be fixed, but one has to wonder if Harper will be able to overcome that right away.

Also, as mentioned in the strengths section, his defense was average at best while at Rutgers.

The Sixers will need him to take steps forward on that end before he earns any real playing time.Potential fitIn terms of how he would potentially fit into the roster right now, Harper would be behind the likes of Kelly Oubre Jr.

and Justin Edwards on the depth chart at the wing positions.

However, he will, obviously, have a chance to jump either of them to earn more playing time.

Harper is going to be fantastic in the NBA.

If the Sixers have a chance to select him, he has to be at the top of the draft board. This article originally appeared on Sixers Wire: 2025 NBA draft profile: How could Dylan Harper potentially fit Sixers?.
