North Carolina's Hubert Davis Suffers Transfer Portal Blow on Monday
The North Carolina Tar Heels are attempting to return to national title contention under head coach Hubert Davis.
Davis led North Carolina to an NCAA Tournament bid last season, but the Tar Heels suffered a loss in the first round, forcing them back to the drawing board early.
They entered March Madness as a No.
11 seed and fell to the Ole Miss Rebels.
After the season, UNC lost a plethora of talent.
Former blue-chip prospect Elliot Cadeau transferred to Michigan, while Drake Powell and RJ Davis are headed to the NBA Draft.
Head coach Hubert Davis also lost former five-star prospect Ian Jackson to the transfer portal.
Unfortunately, on Monday, the bad news continued to roll in for North Carolina.
One of the top players in the transfer portal, Andrej Stojakovic, has committed to Illinois after naming UNC as a potential landing spot, per Joe Tipton.

He entered the college basketball ranks as a five-star prospect and would have been a major addition to Hubert Davis' team at North Carolina.
Instead of playing with the Tar Heels, Stojakovic will compete for the Illinois Fighting Illini during the 2025-26 college basketball season.
